Our Story

Since 2012, we have been dedicated to spreading the movement of social entrepreneurship to young people across the globe.

In 2011, Joanna Klimczak and Yashvi Shah worked together in a youth organization founded by Joanna called Hand in Hand International, which focused on empowering young people and on freeing youth from extreme poverty through fundraising and philanthropy. Later moving on to search for other ways to solve social problems outside of the social sector, in late 2011 while pursuing their undergrads, they confronted two issues: (1) that business is a powerful yet underleveraged engine for positive and sustainable social change, and (2) that many students entering the private sector post graduation are seeking yet experiencing a challenge to find jobs that provide them the opportunity to make an impact. Aiming to fill these gaps, in April 2012 under the mentorship of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Muhammad Yunus, MyVision was born in Montreal.
